There are a lot of ice cream and yogurt shops around, but not many like Sugar Cane. Located in Seattle, WA in Mukilte, Sugar Cane is owned and operated by Pranee McReynolds. Originally from Thailand, Pranee opened her shop to introduce the country’s style of ice cream to the area.

Named after Pranee’s nickname in Thailand, Oy, which means Sugar Cane, Pranee makes her ice cream with milk, cream and sugar and flattens it out and rolls it into tight logs on a frozen metal pan that is chilled down to minus 24 degrees. There are a wide selection of ice cream flavors and customers can choose from a huge array of toppings resulting in endless combinations. Pranee focuses on catering to each customer’s tastes. She carries local ice cream brands and changes up her flavors weekly.

Inside Sugar Cane, you will hear jazz music playing, kids enjoying an after school treat or the evening crowd stopping in for after dinner dessert. Pranee is looking to expand her menu in the near future. She recently brought in our Clover Mini and has loved how easy it is use along with its apps.
